SF Double Feature:  History + Movie Discussion:  Julius Castle -- The House on Telegraph Hill

We've got a special treat for you this month -- we're combining a movie group with some history of a novel San Francisco location. Whether you watch the movie “The House on Telegraph Hill” or not, you’ll want to join us to hear about the past and future of the landmark Julius’ Castle building.

JULIUS’ CASTLE – HISTORY & FUTURE: Julius’ Castle owner and Telegraph Hill resident Paul Scott will tell us about the history and future of Julius' Castle – the castle-like building atop Telegraph Hill. Formerly a speakeasy, restaurant and movie set, Paul will tell us what has happened since the restaurant closed in 2007 and his plans for the future.

MOVIE DISCUSSION – THE HOUSE ON TELEGRAPH HILL (1951) – Optional: watch the movie “The House on Telegraph Hill” BEFORE this event so we can discuss the movie (movie was partially filmed at Julius’ Castle and locations in SF). If you have a computer/tablet/smartphone and Internet access, you should be able to watch the movie free on your digital device at https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x20myb4
